An elegant new Disney hotel inspired by wishing stars, old-world Shanghai, and a little bit of fairy-tale magic is opening just in time for the holidays.

Shanghai Disney Resort has officially announced that its newest hotel, Shanghai Disney Enchanted Star Hotel, will open on December 16, 2026, becoming the resort's third Disney-themed hotel.

Unlike some Disney hotels that surround guests with larger-than-life characters and colorful theming, Enchanted Star Hotel appears to be taking a more sophisticated approach.
The nine-story property draws inspiration from early 20th-century Shanghai architecture, incorporating elegant Art Nouveau design with subtle Disney storytelling.
Think graceful architectural details, warm interiors, touches of gold, and a design inspired by wishes and stars.
In the lobby, a dramatic spiral chandelier filled with stars takes center stage, while a statue of Sorcerer Mickey adds a little familiar Disney magic.
Because what's an elegant hotel without a mouse in a wizard hat?
The hotel's design follows Shanghai Disney Resort's philosophy of blending authentic Disney storytelling with distinctly Chinese cultural influences.
And we love that.

Disney has also shared a first look at several of the hotel's guest rooms, and they're lovely.
The Enchanted Star Deluxe Rooms feature soft purple upholstered headboards, gold accents, and delicate artwork inspired by fairy-tale castles and starry skies.
The Enchanted Star Club Rooms take the storytelling a step further, with details including artwork of Duffy and Friends gazing at the stars.
And yes, there's a fold-down bed with hidden artwork.
We appreciate a hotel room that knows how to keep a little surprise up its sleeve.
The property will offer several room categories, including Deluxe Rooms, Park View Rooms, Dream Rooms, and Club Rooms.
With views overlooking Shanghai Disneyland and Wishing Star Lake, this might be one of those hotels where you actually want to spend some time in your room.

A Pool, Play Areas, and Plenty of Reasons to Stay
The new hotel isn't just about pretty rooms.

The property will also introduce Shanghai Disney Resort's first hotel outdoor swimming pool, available seasonally depending on weather and operating conditions.

Reservations for select room categories begin November 6 at midnight Shanghai time.
For readers in the Eastern United States, that's 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5.
Bookings will be available through Shanghai Disney Resort's official reservation channels and authorized travel partners.
Additional room categories are expected to become available closer to opening day.
